| June 28, 2015 | Engagement Party Celebrating Equality When the Supreme Court rules in favor of marriage equality, First Unitarian Church will celebrate this historic moment by hosting an Engagement Party! The date is TBD, but will likely be a weekend evening soon after the announcement. We will have a brief service in our sanctuary at 7 PM, followed by a reception with cake, food, and music in our fellowship hall.
The Sunday after the announcement, we will be performing brief weddings after our morning services at 1 PM for those who wish to be married alongside others who are celebrating. Bring your license! We will, of course, be available for weddings in the future.
Invite your friends and family, and plan to join us in celebrating marriage equality for all!

| July 11, 2015 | Put A Ring On It! Put a Ring on It! Wedding Chapel and Party on Sunday, July 11 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1111 Cordell Street We are planning for an affirmative vote FOR MARRIAGE by our U.S. Supreme Court this month and we plan to celebrate BIG here in Denton! Ready to tie the knot? Three wedding officiants will be available for a ceremony of your choice (secular, Unitarian Universalist, Christian, or Druid). All services are completely free to any couple who has previously been denied the right to marry. We will have photographers, cake, and a beautiful space to make your moment special. If couples would like to plan a more extensive service at a later date, please come to the party and speak with our minister, Rev. Pamela Wat, who will conduct FREE weddings throughout 2015 and 2016 for same-sex couples who sign up that day.
Even if you aren’t tying the knot, join us to celebrate this historic vote for freedom and for love.
