What is a Welcoming Congregation?
The LGBTQ rainbow logo indicates that a church has been certified by the UUA as a "Welcoming Congregation." The Welcoming Congregation Program is a completely voluntary program for congregations that see a need to become more inclusive towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people. This program involves a series of educational events, organizational assessments, and community outreach programs. NTUUC Congregations who have been certified as Welcoming proudly display the LGBTQ rainbow logo on their information pages on our website.
