Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Tyler

About Our Congregation
We come together for Sunday services and related activities. The services are planned and led by members of the Worship Team. Twice a month, we have Unitarian Universalist ministers as our main speakers. On other Sundays, local speakers or members of our congregation provide the main message at the service. The services feature hymns, readings, a period of meditation, a sermon, and piano music. On the first Sunday of the month, a cash offering is given to a social service program designated by the Community Action Team. Child care is provided during the service but children may attend the service if their parents prefer.
Prior to the service, at 10:30 A.M., there is time for fellowship at coffee hour in the Fireside Room. On the second Sunday of the month, all are welcome to a potluck lunch following the morning service.

Leadership
The fellowship is governed by a Board of Trustees, comprised of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, two Trustees, and the Past President. The board determines goals and sets policy for the governance of the fellowship. They work with the various team leaders to keep the business of the fellowship in sync with the strategic plan. The strategic plan, initiated in 2009, outlines the work of the administrative and ministry teams: Adult Education Team, Building and Site Maintenance Team, Care Team, Child Care Team, Communications Team, Finance Team, Hospitality Team, and Worship Team.
