About Our Congregation

Description of Services

The services vary from Sunday to Sunday. Most last about 1-1½ hours.

The dress on Sunday is anything from casual to “Sunday Best.” Services begin with the lighting of the chalice - the symbol of Unitarian Universalism. We sing from our hymnals Singing the Living Tradition and Singing the Living Journey, which contains a wide range of traditional and contemporary songs, using gender-inclusive language. Our choir performs on many Sundays throughout the year. At the end of the service we stand together hand in hand for a few last words or blessing. After the service we have coffee and conversation so people can socialize informally and discuss the worship service.

Religious education

Complete children’s program from nursery to YRUU. Includes OWL for different ages and COA.

Adult education

Sunday morning forums at 9:00 am, evening educational courses during the year, includes introductions to UU, Building Your Own Theology, etc.
